We wanted to build a skincare brand that brings together the wisdom of herbal ingredients with intentional formulation — without making skincare unnecessarily complicated.

Where It Started
Like many skincare journeys, ours began with a personal interest in taking better care of the skin.
We became increasingly interested in the ingredients behind the products we were using: What makes a product effective? Why do some ingredients work beautifully for one person but irritate another? Can traditional herbal ingredients be incorporated into modern skincare in a way that is practical, consistent, and effective?
Those questions stayed with us.
We didn’t want to simply create products because an ingredient was trending or because something was labelled “natural.” We wanted to understand why an ingredient was being used, what purpose it served, and how it could work alongside other ingredients.
That curiosity became the foundation for Daallu.
Why Daallu?
We created Daallu because we believe skincare should be intentional.
There are so many skincare products available today. There are endless ingredients, trends, routines, and promises. It can become overwhelming trying to figure out what your skin actually needs.
Our approach is different.
At Daallu, we focus on creating skincare with a clear purpose. Every product should have a reason for being there — whether the goal is cleansing, nourishing, hydrating, supporting clearer-looking skin, improving the appearance of uneven skin tone, or simply making everyday self-care feel better.
We don’t believe you need a complicated shelf full of products to care for your skin.
We believe you need the right products, thoughtfully formulated and used consistently.
Our Love for Herbal Ingredients
Herbal ingredients have always fascinated us.
Across generations and cultures, plants, roots, flowers, seeds, and botanical extracts have been used as part of traditional beauty and wellness practices. Ingredients such as turmeric, hibiscus, rosemary, ginger, neem, amla, and other botanicals have long been valued for their different properties.
But at Daallu, “herbal” doesn’t simply mean putting herbs into a bottle and calling the result skincare.
We believe that natural ingredients deserve thoughtful formulation too.
An ingredient can have an impressive history and still need to be used carefully. Its concentration, preparation, combination with other ingredients, stability, preservation, and the overall formulation all matter.
That’s why our philosophy is not natural versus science.
It is nature + knowledge + intentional formulation.
Natural Doesn’t Have to Mean Ineffective
We love natural and botanical ingredients, but we also believe in being realistic about skincare.
“Natural” is not automatically better for every skin type. And “chemical” does not automatically mean harmful.
Everything in a skincare product is made of chemicals — including water and naturally occurring plant compounds.
What matters to us is how ingredients are selected, why they are included, how they are formulated, and how the finished product performs.
We want to create products that respect the appeal of herbal skincare while taking formulation seriously.
That means thinking about things such as texture, compatibility, stability, preservation, skin feel, and the purpose of every ingredient.
Because beautiful skincare isn’t just about what’s inside the jar.
It’s about how thoughtfully everything comes together.
Our Approach to Intentional Formulation
When we formulate a Daallu product, we start with a question:
What are we trying to achieve?
From there, we consider the ingredients that can help us work towards that goal.
We don’t want to add an ingredient simply because it is popular. We want every ingredient to have a purpose within the formula.
Our formulations are developed around ideas such as:
- Purposeful ingredients — ingredients selected for a specific role in the formula.
- Botanical inspiration — drawing from herbs, plants, oils, and traditional beauty practices.
- Balanced formulations — considering how ingredients work together rather than looking at them individually.
- Skin comfort — effectiveness should not come at the expense of a pleasant skincare experience.
- Consistency — good skincare is something you can use regularly, not something that should feel like a chore.
- Simplicity — we don’t believe more products automatically mean better skin.
We are also continually learning.
Skincare formulation is a journey, and Daallu is a growing brand. As we learn more, test more, and develop new products, we intend to keep improving our approach.

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that skin is personal.
What works beautifully for one person may not work the same way for someone else.
Skin type, sensitivity, environment, lifestyle, existing routines, and even how consistently a product is used can influence someone’s experience.
That’s why we don’t want Daallu to be a brand that simply makes big promises.
We want to encourage customers to understand their skin, introduce products thoughtfully, patch test when appropriate, and build routines that make sense for them.
Our goal isn’t to convince you that one product can solve everything.
Our goal is to help you build a skincare routine that supports your skin over time.
